BET AWARDS 2010: Performance – Kanye West

This was the Best Aesthetic performance of the night!!

“Meanwhile, I was very impressed with the aesthetic presentation that comprised the opening performance delivered by none other than rap impressario, KANYE WEST. I so loved the ways in which he stood upon a volcano of sorts, as the statuette blew a firestorm of smoke each time he emphasized the word POWER during the performance. The ways in which Kanye obviously told the camera men to film him in conjunction with his background imagery, added a moving journey of sorts to the presentation. The fact that Kanye never left from atop the volcano structure was heightened by the visual imagery that channeled his performance from behind. I most enjoyed the fact that during the various verses of his new POWER single, the weather would change. ”
