Whitney Houston was reportedly found underwater in the bathtub of her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The singer was in the bathroom getting ready for the Clive Davis annual pre-Grammy Awards party, when her hairdresser and two bodyguards who were in the bedroom, began to worry when she had been in there for over an hour.
Insiders told TMZ that when they began knocking on the door and there was no answer, the female hairdresser entered and screamed when she saw Whitney’s face underwater.
Apparently, her body was slumped as though she had slid down the back of the bath.
One of the bodyguards went in and pulled her body out of the water and tried to resuscitate her, but to no avail.
After calling the hotel security, the paramedics were called and she was pronounced dead at 3:55pm.
It was reported that prescription pills were found in the hotel room, which summed up the theory that she had taken the medication causing her to fall into a heavy sleep in the bath.
