Florence Welch Dumps Boyfriend James Nesbitt

Florence Welch has allegedly parted ways with boyfriend James Newsbitt in order to focus on her career.

The singer, who works under the name Florence + The Machine, met her beau at a photoshoot 15 months ago.

The events organiser – not to be confused with the former Cold Feet actor – has not been seen with the ‘Dog Days Are Over’ star since a party on June 6, according to the Sunday Mirror.

A friend said: “Flo knows she really needs to concentrate on her career and couldn’t really give the relationship the time it needed to work. So they split.”

James has previously dated Radio 1 host Fearne Cotton and quirky singer Paloma Faith.

Florence had recently come out of a relationship with literary editor Stuart Hammond before she met James. She had been with Stuart for three years.

Last month she bagged her first ever number one single with a Calvin Harris mix of her song ‘Spectrum’.

It was the latest cut to be lifted from her second chart-topping album Ceremonials, which was released in October last year to rave reviews.
