“It can start from anything, it can start from me playing a baseline, me playing the guitar, or having a little melody in my head. But when I’m creating a song, I will create the beat first. If it’s a club banger, then it’s the beat first. If it’s a song, then I start with a title and a melody and that usually takes me somewhere.”- His Influences
“I love sounds. I love funk, I love jazz and there’s so many different artists from all of these different categories, so I think it’s more about what I see and hear at that moment. Like, I remember I was watching a James Brown performance on You Tube the other day and it totally blew my mind, and it just inspired me to take that energy on stage.
