Iggy Azalea responds to Eve’s recent “diss”, saying she “understands” the rapper’s comments.
Last week, Eve had an interview during which she mentioned she wasn’t into Iggy’s music, saying she “doesn’t believe in it”. And now, Australian newcomer Iggy has responded, saying Eve’s comments didn’t upset her.
Iggy told XXLMag she likes Eve, saying:
“Everybody is different, everybody hasn’t lived out of the box and for you to even know if it’s real, you have to kind of be an out-the-box person or somebody who likes something they’re not suppose to [like].”
“A girl like her that raps is expected, so, how could you understand something so different?”
As if that wasn’t enough, Iggy goes on to talk about Eve’s journey into the industry referring to it as “easier”. “How could you if you’ve never been ostracized or loved something you weren’t suppose to love? Everything you’ve loved you’re allowed to love, so, how could you understand me?” Iggy added.
Um, easy newbie. What’s wrong with this generation of rappers? Didn’t anyone teach them not to pick fights with their elders? And why do white rappers always try to play the I’m-different-because-white-people-aren’t-supposed-to-rap card?
