AUTHOR: SheiFunmiJay-Z Asked To Come Clean About NETS Ownership
Its been reported that Jay-Z may not own as much of the Nets as he would have us believe and now the rapper has been asked to come clean.
Jay-Z recently performed a series of concerts at the new Barclay’s Centre for the Nets in Brooklyn. However political speaker Dr.Cornel West wants him to clean the slate.
Speculation as to facts about Jay’s ownership was encouraged, as West said “Now I love Jay-Z, I’ve spent much time with the brother. He’s a lyrical genius. But we’ve got to tell him the truth. Tell the truth, Jay-Z.”
The doctor also made reference to Jay-Z debut album reasonable doubt adding “You tell the truth on ‘Reasonable Doubt’ in 1996, that’s what he started out with. He’s telling the truth, we love you negro. But we gon’ make sure you’re accountable too. All of us in this together, and I’m saying it out of love,”
Jay-Z addressed the rumours last month, noting the fact the papers like to point out his minority ownership, telling the crowd “Don’t let anybody diminish your accomplishments,” he said to the crowd. “It’s our motherf*cking time now.”
