Jennifer Hudson Breaks Down During Charity Event For Late Nephew

Jennifer Hudson shed tears during the charity event she hosted for her late nephew, Julian King, who was killed alongside his mother, Jennifer’s mother and brother.

The three relatives were shot by her brother-in-law, William Balfour and afterwards, she set up the Julian King Foundation alongside her sister and last night, hosted the second annual even marking his 11th birthday.

Jennifer also said to WGNtv.com: “To be able to turn such a negative around and make it a positive thing… seeing this is like ‘wow’. What’s the point of being who you are if you can’t make a difference? If you can’t help someone else?”

And on Twitter wrote: “Happy 11th birthday to my late nephew Julian King! We will celebrate u (sic) always! Happy ‘Hatch Day’ to u all!”
