Jennifer Lopez ‘Taking A Break’ From Casper Smart! Questions Relationship

While she has looked pretty loved up over the last couple of weeks as she celebrated her 43rd birthday, Jennifer Lopez is said to have told toyboy Casper Smart that she wants “time out” from their romance after worrying it has become too serious, too quickly.

The actress and singer is said to be unsure about the nine months relationship and after a string of arguments told the 25 year-old she needed “time apart” to think about things. A friend close to the star claims the argument made her doubt the strength of their romance and worry that she might have rushed things with the dancer.

“They had an argument and she said it may be best for them to spend some time apart. She said she wasn’t breaking up with him, but they could do with taking some steps back,” a source told Closer magazine.

“She’s told Casper she didn’t intend to get so serious so soon after her marriage break-up. She still wants to be with him, but she needs to take some time out.”

It is only a few weeks since Lopez’ team were forced to deny Casper Smart was caught at a “gay cruising spot” in New York after he was photographed outside an X rated peep show.

A spokesperson for the star branded the claims “false and defamatory” at the time and while the source denies that JLo believes them, rumours doubting his feelings for her inevitably add strain to the romance.

“While Jen doesn’t believe the allegations, she does sometimes worry about why Casper is with her. He says he’d love her if she was ‘nobody’, but Jen has been burnt in the past,” the source added.
