Nigeria Music News: ILLRYMZ Debuts New Single

Olowu Bardia Adebola aka ILLRYMZ needs no further introduction as a Nigerian radio personality, model, television host, writer and producer. He is the Producer and host of Radio Outloud with Nokia & Ill; a PAN Nigerian syndicated reality radio show that airs on Beat FM & Cool FM in Lagos, Rhythm FM Abuja & Port Harcourt, BCA Umuahia and Freedom FM Kano. On television, Illrymz is the new host of Nigerian Idol alongside Tiwa Savage.

Unknown to many, this versatile young man has been an artiste from the get go. He is a hip-hop/ r&b artiste and was formerly a member of a gospel group SOL. In 2006 he released his first solo single produced by his friend Papilastic, titled ‘No Mago Mago!’ This hilarious sing-along became an instant hit and enjoyed heavy rotation on radio. ‘NO MAGO MAGO NO WAYO O…NO COME PUT SAND SAND FOR MY GARRY O’ these lines became a popular slogan all over the country. He recently released a series of hits online after leaking a single off his yet- untitled album which has songs; ‘Feel My Parole’ a club banger produced by Samklef, ‘TEACHER TEACHER’ which features Afrobeat Legend, FEMI KUTI where he exhibits superb lyrical prowess in the socially conscious track. Due to a hectic work schedule and reasons beyond his control, illrymz went on a 5yr hiatus from music. In 2011 he leaked a single titled ‘Anyhow’, produced by Nigerian Super Producer Dokta Frabz. The song gained unprecedented followership online and on radio stations across the country. Now he makes a return with the release of a smashing pop single titled ‘Padawa’ , featuring EME signed rapper Skales & the multi-talented producer, Dokta Frabz. A monster collabo guaranteed to gain massive airplay both on radio and in clubs. The hot single mixes elements of pop with hip-hop and is accompanied by Yoruba infused lyrics. It is also the first single off his yet untitled debut album.
