ABC news anchor Robin Roberts scored President Barack Obama’s gay marriage interview, she wasn’t overly enthusiastic about the scoop, because she feared it would expose her own sexuality to the public.
The interview was thought to be the biggest of her professional career, Robin has always managed to obscure her sexuality, but after sitting across from Obama as he vocalised his evolutionary stance on gay marriage for the first time, it would be more difficult for her to side-step
Robin hasn’t publicly announced her sexuality but journalist’s have been pretty open about their thoughts regarding her homosexuality.
“Most of the discussions (among TV people) today about why Robin got the interview have to do with her being gay,” a source told Gawker.
“Not that she’s black, or friends of the Obamas.”
“Obviously they picked her because she’s black and gay,” said another industry insider familiar with the selection.
“I’ve seen her girlfriend. She’s around the building all the time – very attractive and well-dressed”
